MRI Technologist - Part-Time

About this role

Requirements

• Must be ARRT registered with MR Certification.
• IV experience required.
• Physical dexterity and strength to operate MR equipment, position patients, and handle supplies up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in Zone 3 and Zone 4 with exposure to high magnetic fields, acoustic noise, and occasional RF exposure.
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide proper patient care and perform exams per RIMI protocol.
• Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures and ensure appropriate quality control to provide requested films of high diagnostic quality based on the specifics of each case.
• Maintain the best possible patient flow and throughput at all times while interacting effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians, and staff.
• Operate all types of MR related equipment and properly position patients for requested studies.
• Float to other locations as needed and demonstrate willingness to travel between clinical sites.
• Handle patient films and files while demonstrating organizational and analytical skills for compilation and interpretation of data.
