About this role
This position performs MRI procedures under the general supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist. The role requires delivering requested films of high diagnostic quality based on the specifics of each case while maintaining patient flow and throughput at all times.
Daily work includes operating all types of MR equipment, properly positioning patients, and conducting appropriate quality control. The technologist must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams as outlined by governing bodies and RIMI protocol.
The schedule involves floating between locations with willingness to travel. Shifts include Monday and Friday day shifts, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the North Providence site, and every third Sunday morning, requiring flexibility across clinical sites.

Requirements
- Must be ARRT registered with MR Certification.
- IV experience required.
- Physical dexterity and strength to operate MR equipment, position patients, and handle supplies up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in Zone 3 and Zone 4 with exposure to high magnetic fields, acoustic noise, and occasional RF exposure.
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide proper patient care and perform exams per RIMI protocol.
- Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures and ensure appropriate quality control to provide requested films of high diagnostic quality based on the specifics of each case.
- Maintain the best possible patient flow and throughput at all times while interacting effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians, and staff.
- Operate all types of MR related equipment and properly position patients for requested studies.
- Float to other locations as needed and demonstrate willingness to travel between clinical sites.
- Handle patient films and files while demonstrating organizational and analytical skills for compilation and interpretation of data.
