About this role

This role performs routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to produce quality images for physicians and healthcare providers, supporting the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of injury or disease. Working independently, you will exercise sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe, precise procedures and deliver accurate results in a timely manner.

Day-to-day responsibilities include gaining confidence and cooperation from patients and their families through competent assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. You will adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent education/experience.
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist OR ARMRIT-Certified MRI Technologist OR ARRT - American Register of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire.
  • 5 years of basic clinical and practical experience as typically acquired in a similar environment.
  • General knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
  • Capable of performing routine MRI examinations with a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).
