Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has provided community care since 1959. The 162-bed acute care facility features a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county-designated trauma center. This SEIU-represented role assists with cardiovascular and non-invasive studies.

Perform M-Mode with calculations, 2-D procedures with necessary views and calculations, and Doppler echo with analysis. Handle adult, pediatric, and neonate patients, documenting all required information and data. Demonstrate ability to interpret age-specific needs, such as Pediatric Echo or Geriatric Doppler Exam.

Conduct peripheral vascular procedures including arterial Doppler, venous Doppler, segmental pressures, ankle-arm index, and carotid ultrasound. Perform tilt table exams, treadmills, 24-hour Holters, and pharmacological studies. Operate within a lively community near Avila Beach and Pismo Beach.

Keep up-to-date with latest advances in cardiovascular techniques and equipment. Precept new staff members and mentor others as needed. Adventist Health commits to associate and patient safety with required vaccinations and E-Verify participation.

Requirements

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasonographer (RDCS): Required
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT): Required
  • Pediatric Echocardiography (PE): Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Certification: Required
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) Certification or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS): Required
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS): Required
  • ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCCS: Required
  • AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required

Responsibilities

  • Perform M-Mode with calculations, 2-D procedures with all necessary views and calculations, Doppler echo with analysis on Adult, Pediatric and Neonate patients, and document all information and data as required
  • Perform all peripheral vascular procedures including arterial Doppler, venous Doppler, segmental pressures, ankle-arm index, carotid ultrasound
  • Perform tilt table exams, treadmills, 24 hour holters, and pharmacological studies
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest advances in cardiovascular techniques and equipment
  • Precept new staff members and help mentor other staff as needed
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
