About this role

Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures on patients of all ages, exercising independent judgment with minimal supervision. This role requires producing high-quality technical images using Siemens 3.0T systems and ensuring proper documentation.

Prepare and position patients accurately for each protocol, observing special requirements for safety and image quality. Troubleshoot technical issues according to procedural guidelines and practice ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.

At Atria Institute in Beverly Hills, you will work in a collaborative environment with responsibility for reviewing schedules and completing QC sheets. Autonomy is balanced with adherence to strict safety protocols and equipment maintenance standards.

Opportunity to work with advanced Siemens 3.0T systems and maintain certifications through ongoing continuing education. Potential for weekend availability as the west coast region scales, offering flexibility in scheduling.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with Siemens 3.0T systems required
  • 5-10 years of MRI experience; previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program
  • ARRT (MR) Certified and in good standing
  • California State License (CRT)
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Yearly MRI Safety Certification (Level 2) required
  • Ability to work extended hours or emergency shifts if necessary to maintain safe department coverage

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity with minimal supervision on patients of all age groups
  • Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol, ensuring proper documentation
  • Assume responsibility for designated areas of MRI equipment, producing high-quality technical images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness
  • Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to correct procedural guidelines
  • Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and members
  • Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately
  • Review schedule for any gaps in coverage
