The MRI Technologist performs all aspects of MR imaging accurately in accordance with established procedures and policies. This role supports diagnosis and treatment of diseases in patients of all groups while following regulatory guidelines and MRI safety precautions. Maintain professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations.
Our 291-bed acute care hospital features the San Diego Spine & Joint Center, highly credentialed acute rehabilitation center, modern cardiac catheterization lab, comprehensive surgical services, and 24-hour emergency services. Contribute to total patient care by accessing pertinent patient information, processing images, assuring correct images, accurate billing and file documentation. Record information related to exams into the department computer system. Perform other activities in support of clinical team members when not engaged in imaging.
Requirements
- ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) required
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program or MRI course
- At least 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
- Proficient computer skills
